Hispanic Heritage Month starts this week! Hispanic Heritage Month, running from September 15-October 15, is a time to celebrate the histories and contributions of Americans whose ancestors come from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Set an intention this month to learn more about this rich heritage by visiting the Hispanic Heritage Month website and share some books with your little ones that speak to these experiences. Our youth staff have two great Hispanic Heritage Month booklists to get you started - one for ages 6-8 and one for ages 9-12. And make sure that you keep telling these stories all year long, not just in September and October!
