Zoom Into Storytime

For preschool-grade 2
Join us for some very special virtual storytimes via Zoom. These interactive events encourage singing, dancing and some show-and-tell to keep little ones fully engaged with the storytime provider and each other. Registration for these Zoom storytimes must be made by a parent or guardian by emailing imagine@thelibrary.org and providing their library card number. A link and a password to access the virtual event will be shared with registered participants.
- Friendship and Kindness
Saturday, February 13, 10 a.m.
We all need some warmth and fuzziness, so Library Center youth services staffer Chris will share stories and songs about making friends. Parents and guardians can turn on their Zoom camera if they wish, so their little ones can share ways to show kindness. Registrations accepted January 29-February 13. - Spring into Spring!
Saturday, March 20, 10 a.m.
Join us for fun stories, songs and activities to celebrate the season! We'll read "Plant the Tiny Seed" by Christie Matheson, act out planting our own spring garden and do a guided stretch where we pretend to be seeds growing in the ground. We’ll also learn about the Seed Library at the Library Station and Midtown Carnegie Branch, where you can "check out" seeds to grow at home. Registrations accepted March 5-March 20. - Hide and Seek!
Saturday, April 3, 10 a.m.
Peek-a-boo, we see Schweitzer Brentwood Branch youth services staffer Charity! Surprises abound as you seek and find through stories, songs and activities. Registrations accepted March 19-April 3. - Our Favorite Stories
Saturday, May 1, 10 a.m.
Join Republic Branch youth services staffers Amanda and Iggi for a storytime all about stories! Amanda and Iggi will share David Ezra Stein’s storytime favorite "Interrupting Chicken," plus fun rhymes and movement activities. Parents and guardians will have a chance to turn on their Zoom cameras for kids to share the title of their favorite story. Registrations accepted April 16-May 1.
