PLAY

Simon Says Get Dressed!

Brrr! It’s getting chilly, time to bring out all of our warm clothes. Did you ever think about all of the different words that are involved with getting dressed? Play this version of Simon Says to introduce your child to new and different words. Collect a variety of winter apparel that is large enough for your child to put on over their clothes. Use familiar clothing and new things too. Play Simon Says using the clothing: “Simon says, put on your parka. Simon says, put on your galoshes.” Talk about the interesting words you use and encourage your kids to use them too!

SING

Mary Wore Her Red Dress

Mary wore her red dress,
Red dress, red dress.
Mary wore her red dress,
All day long.

(Repeat using your child’s name and the clothing they are wearing.)
