Rainy days are perfect for singing! Singing is an enjoyable activity that develops reading motivation and increases reading skills. When they sing, kids hear smaller sounds of words, play with language, investigate patterns, learn repetition and strengthen memory. Follow the words and smile!
Make reading fun by interacting and singing songs on Tumblebooks. Greene County residents can sign up here for a temporary card. Once Tumblebooks is on the computer, then do a subject search of Tumbletunes. There are two pages of exciting songs to read the words as you sing along. Then don’t forget to check out your favorite youth library staff singing songs on the Kids page!
