Take a Fall StoryWalk®!

Where can you read a book, exercise and enjoy our community's beautiful outdoor spaces? At one of the Library's StoryWalks®! StoryWalks® are books displayed page by page along a trail or path and are a fun way for families to enjoy the outdoors and read at the same time. Here are the next chances to catch a StoryWalk® this fall:

  • September 9-19 at Rountree Elementary, 1333 E. Grand in Springfield: "Thank You, Omu!" by Oge Mora.
  • October 4-17 at the Ash Grove City Park, 300 E. Parkway in Ash Grove: "Leaves" by David Ezra Stein.
  • October 18-31 at the Howard Smith Community Park, 408 E. Bumgarner Blvd. in Strafford: "We're Going on a Leaf Hunt" by Steve Metzger.
  • November 1-14 at the Community Kitchen, 139 N. Walnut Ave. in Republic: "Our Little Kitchen" by Jillian Tamaki.

Head outside and enjoy a story, some exercise and the lovely weather!

StoryWalks are accessible during park hours and after school hours. For details, please contact the host site.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellog-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
