Bibliography and Acknowledgements

In compiling this Directory of Towns, Villages and Hamlets, Past and Present, of Camden County, Missouri, every effort has been made to include every community in the county. Several books of reference and maps have been examined, and Mr. Paul White, Librarian of The Kinderhook Regional Library at Lebanon, has submitted this manuscript to Mrs. Charles Huddleston, of Camdenton, Mo., for consideration. Mrs. Huddleston has made several corrections and additions which are duly recognized.

Also, the staff at the Springfield-Greene County Library have been helpful in providing certain reference books for examination.

In addition, The Union Electric Company of St. Louis, Mo., has very graciously submitted Xerox Copies of certain newspaper clippings pertaining to the construction of the dam and lake of The Lake of The Ozarks, (officially named Lake Benton.) The company is the owner of the dam and lake.
