Volume III, No. 2, Winter 1975 |
Poem and photographs by Jim Baldwin
Snow...
The mantle of winter cloaking all in its powdery robe.
Obscuring
the shapes of the countryside.
Muting the sounds
of Nature and her creatures.
Snow.
Gray...
The color of winter overpowering all with its monotony. Symbolic of the dormancy that winter brings. Giving new perspective to all that it surrounds. Gray. |

Cold... The texture of winter abrasive against the skin. The wind is its courier delivering it at the doorstep. Chilling the bones of the impoverished while the wealthy relish the warmth. Cold. |
