Volume 1, Number 2 - Winter 1961
The White River Valley Historical Society will hold their regular quarterly meeting at the Community Building in Branson, Missouri at two o'clock p.m. on Sunday afternoon, March 4, 1962. The speaker for the occasion will be Fred DeArmond, a writer and noted authority on Civil War history in Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. Mr. DeArmond will speak on the Civil War in this region spotlighting anecdotes and incidents in the careers of a few Union and Confederate officers at Wilson Creek and Pea Ridge. He will touch on the bloodiest battle and the greatest Civil War novel. The public is invited to attend.
