Pushing Back: From Circe to #MeToo

The stories of Circe, Captain Marvel and the #MeToo movement all revolve around women speaking up and fighting back. Join Missouri State University professors Dr. Erin Kenny, Michael Frizell and Dr. Holly Holladay, as they connect centuries-old powerful female deities, modern American-made superheroines and current movements in the media for a stirring discussion of female power and where we go from here.

Modern Day Odysseus

For three months in 2017, Drury University's Jalen Price lived on the island of Aegina in Greece, studying architecture and traveling to Athens, Thessaloniki, Meteora and Nafplio. Jalen will discuss his perceptions before going to Greece, his experiences there and how he's grown from his personal "Greek Odyssey."

Clash of the Trivia Titans

Greek mythology has woven its way in and out of books, movies and music for decades. Recruit and register a team of 3-6, then prove your pop culture trivia prowess in six rounds of trivia. Rounds will be scored and prizes will be awarded to the top team!
