Do-Not-Call Registries

Updated: Oct 15

Do-not-call registries are offered by both the state of Missouri and the federal government for people who do not wish to receive phone calls from telemarketers. Signing up for both registries is free.

Information about how to register for Missouri’s No Call List is available on the Missouri Attorney General’s website. Registration can be completed online, by mail, or by phone. You can also check to see if your phone number is already registered. In addition, information is provided about how to file a complaint against a telemarketer that violates the no-call law.

The National Do Not Call Registry is managed by the Federal Trade Commission. Registration must be completed online, and a valid e-mail address is required to finish the registration process. As with the state registry, there is a way to check if your phone number is currently registered, and instructions are provided for filing a complaint if you think a telemarketer has violated the law.
