Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale Returns to the E*Plex on April 30

Summer reading is just ahead, so make space on your bookshelves for new arrivals – all the treasures you’ll find at the Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale in Springfield, MO.


The sale features new and used hardback and paperback books, CDs, movies, vinyl records, audiobooks, games and puzzles. Adult, young adult and children’s books and most audiovisuals are $1 or less; better books are priced $2 and up.


Get in on the bargains early! The Friends Night Preview Sale is Tuesday, April 29, 4-8 p.m. Friends members admitted free; or pay $5 at the door to shop and turn that into a Friends membership at no extra cost. 


Admission is free during the regular sale on Wednesday, April 30, through Sunday, May 4, at the E*Plex, Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, 3001 N. Grant Ave.

Hours are:

Wednesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Saturday, Half-Price Day, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday, Bag Day, 1-5 p.m., when everything you can jam in a sack is only $1, or $5 from better books.


The Friends accept cash or check only, and parking is free. Bring your own bag to fill with new treasures.
