Nicole Hardison “The Farmhouse Secret” and Audrey Munsch “The Tale of the Red Ribbon” Book Signings Sept. 8 at Library Center

August 29, 2012 — Authors Nicole Hardison and Audrey Munsch will sell and sign copies of their books from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, in the concourse of the Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.

Ozarks-based author Nicole Hardison will have copies available of “The Farmhouse Secret,” her first juvenile/teen adventure book. When a mysterious farmhouse is discovered on the Izetlen family property, Noreen, an adventurous 14-year-old girl, soon discovers it was the home of her ancestors who were protecting an extraordinary secret. Hidden under the floorboards Noreen finds a jar containing marbles with super powers. Noreen and her friend Harvey try some out and comically find that having super powers isn’t as easy as fictional superheroes make it look. When a powerful businessman finds out about their unusual discovery, Noreen and Harvey struggle to protect the powers from the wrong hands. Harvey finds himself in mortal jeopardy, while Noreen leads the power-hungry villain on a wild goose chase. Noreen can only hope it ends with her and Harvey still alive.

St. Louis author Audrey Munsch will have copies available of her first children’s book, “The Tale of the Red Ribbon.” The tale begins in Shady Glen on a day like any other. In this small town nestled in a valley overlooking the sea, Gabby and Sal are best friends. A problem arises when both girls come across the same beautiful ribbon. How do they decide who gets to keep it? Will wise old Ms. Mimi, the town seamstress, be able to come up with a solution?
