Kenneth Cole "Depression-era Cave Dweller to Rocket Scientist" Book Signing Sept. 14

Republic author Kenneth Cole will sell and sign copies of his autobiography, “Depression-era Cave Dweller to Rocket Scientist: How Hard Lessons Learned During the Great Depression Propelled Me to Great Accomplishments in Later Life,” from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, in the Library Center concourse, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.
Cole was born and reared in McDonald County. His family, including nine children, lived for a time in a cave during the Great Depression. He traveled the world for 45 years as a civil and a mechanical engineer, rocket design consultant and later as a construction manager. Among his projects, Cole worked with Dr. Werner Von Braun testing engines for the Saturn I and Saturn moon rockets.
