Find Big Bargains at Friends of the Library Book Sale; Shred Unwanted Documents April 25; Get Planting Tips April 27; Give Ozarks Fundraising Blitz May 5

April 22, 2015 — You’ve got four more days to shop for great bargains at the big Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale. Most books and audiovisual items are just $1; better books are $2 and up.

The doors are open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 through Friday, April 24, at Remington’s, 1655 W. Republic Road. The sale resumes from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 25, which is Half-Price Day throughout the building; and from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, April 26. That’s Bag Day, when you pay only $1 for everything you can stuff in a sack, or $2 per sack from the Better Books area. The Friends can accept only cash or check with proper ID.

The sale began with nearly five tractor-trailer loads of books, so there are still plenty of choices in books, music and movies.
