You Can Be a Hunger Hero This Summer for Ozarks Food Harvest

April 28, 2015 —      Children and families rely on Ozarks Food Harvest to help them put food on the table in the summer. You can be a Hunger Hero by donating food at any Library branch, and be entered into drawings through the summer!

Each time you donate two non-perishable food items at any Library branch, your name will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of 100 prizes including a Kindle Fire HD6. One entry per two items donated, and there is no limit.

A drawing for prizes will be conducted in late June and late July at each of the 10 Library branches. All entries will be combined for the Kindle Fire HD6 grand prize drawing on Friday, August 7. Winners of the monthly and grand prizes will be notified shortly after the drawings.

The monthly prizes are provided by Andy’s Frozen Custard, Incredible Pizza, Jumpin’ Joey’s, Dickerson Park Zoo, Andy B’s, Skateland, Krispy Kreme, Starplex Cinemas, Sky Zone, Glo Golf, Lighthouse Lanes and Dancing Mule Coffee Company!

Ozarks Food Harvest needs these items: tuna or other canned meat, peanut butter, beans (dried or canned), nuts (or other food items rich in protein), soups and stews, boxed meals (macaroni and cheese, Hamburger Helper, potato dinners, pasta salads), rice and pasta, spaghetti sauce, canned (glass containers not accepted), canned vegetables and fruit, and cereal.

For more information call the Library at 417-616-0564 or Ozarks Food Harvest, 417-865-3411.
