Library Hosts "Hunger is Not a Game" Food Drive Through Nov. 9
November 3, 2015 — Teens are remembering the real-life hunger in their community with a food drive, “Hunger is Not a Game,” at the Springfield-Greene County Libraries through Nov. 9.
The food drive, to benefit families served by Ozarks Food Harvest, is part of a series of events through Nov. 14 at the libraries for grades 6-12 celebrating the upcoming nationwide release of the final “Hunger Games” movie.
All ages are encouraged to donate healthy, non-perishable food (please, no non-nutritional beverages or items in glass containers) to any branch of the library district. Donations will help restock the Food Bank shelves in time for the winter months.
