Buy a Piece of Brentwood and Take Home a Library Memory
April 8, 2016 — As the Brentwood Branch Library closes in April for a major renovation during 2016, library fans can buy a bargain-priced piece of Brentwood furniture and other items that will not be reused elsewhere.
The Brentwood Garage Sale is scheduled from 10 a.m.-noon 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, at the Brentwood Branch, 2214 Brentwood Blvd. Buyers must pay for their purchases that day, but may pick up their items anytime the following week. The branch will be accessible but library services will have stopped after April 16.
Items will be priced from $1 to $25, and include book shelves, adult- and child-size chairs and tables, filing cabinets, a variety of child and adult stationary and mobile computer tables, metal shelving units and patio bricks. Proceeds will go to purchase new furnishings for the renovated Brentwood Branch.
Stick around from 1-3 p.m. for a farewell open house at the branch. The day includes live music, a photo booth, kids’ activities, Brentwood/70s trivia challenge, display of Brentwood photos through the years, refreshments, and the chance to sign your name or a memory on a wall. All ages are welcome.
