David Caringer “Decision at Fletcher’s Mill” Book Signing April 27 at Library Center
April 18, 2019 — Author David Caringer will sell and sign copies of his new book, “Decision at Fletcher’s Mill,” from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, in the Library Center concourse, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.
It is 1781 in South Carolina and the American Revolution rages on. The British are desperate to break the stalemate by opening a second major front in the South. Loyalist and rebel militias struggle for dominance while old hatreds and vendettas are settled with brutal violence. Slavery is an absurdly accepted part of everyday life. Amid the chaos, a rich old man must decide what is really valuable, while a poor young man overcomes moral failure to become a hero. God’s word flourishes, and true love grows like a hearty plant pushing its way through the soil to find sunlight.
