Take the Winter Reading Challenge for Adults and Win a Prize

December 19, 2019 — If you love reading and you love a challenge, you’re going to love the Library’s Winter Reading Challenge for adults. It runs January 2-February 29, 2020.

Pick up a Winter Reading Challenge form at the checkout desk of any library branch or Mobile Library beginning January 2, and get ready to mix it up!

There are 15 reading “challenges” that may delight you, push you outside your reading “comfort zone,” or introduce you to your new, favorite genre.

Complete at least five of the 15 challenges, turn in your completed challenge form to your library branch and receive a prize for being a Winter Reading Master!  

Here are the 15 categories:

  1. Listen to a book  
  2.  Teaches you something new
  3. Graphic novel or comic book
  4. First in a series
  5. In another time or place
  6. Recommended 
  7. Author new to you
  8. Outside your comfort zone
  9. Under 200 pages
  10.  Made into a movie
  11. Always meant to read
  12.  Retelling of a story
  13. Set in an imaginary world
  14.  Author of color
  15. Winter setting
