Park Central Branch Closed through Jan. 21 Due to COVID-19 Quarantines
January 15, 2021 — The Park Central Branch Library closed at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, due to quarantine procedures necessary for the staff after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The branch, located at 128 Park Central Square, is expected to reopen on Friday, Jan. 22. Library patrons’ due dates will be extended during that time. Materials can also be returned to book drops at other Springfield-Greene County Library branches.
The six staff members wore masks throughout their overlapping shifts, but will quarantine at home. All library visitors from age 3 through adult are also required to wear masks in the branch, except for medical reasons, so public exposure is expected to be minimal.
