Passport Applicants Have Expanded Hours for Service at Libraries
July 22, 2021 — Appointments for passport applications will be available more hours for the public effective Sunday, July 18, when the Library Center and Library Station move to expanded hours.
Both branches will accept passport applications by appointment only:
- Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Sunday: 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
To make an appointment, call the Library Center, 883-5341, or the Library Station, 616-0683.
Passport photos can be taken without an appointment.
U.S. State Department officials encourage all applicants to plan ahead. They are experiencing significant delays in processing applications. The wait for a routine passport can take up to 18 weeks; expedited service (an additional $60) can take up to 12 weeks.
