May 20, 2022 — Your garden is growing great now, but what about prep for next year’s bigger, better crop? Two June programs and another on protecting your food and plants, teach you something you might not have known!
Preparing the Soil for a Micro Meadow. Preparing the soil for wildflowers starts in the summer. Learn the basics and take some supplies home to prepare your own micro meadow! This program is possible through the Tangled Bank Studios/PBS Nature #PlantWildflowers Initiative.

- Sunday, June 12, 10 a.m. for adults in the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch community room
Seeding a Healthy Life: Fight BAC. Saturday, June 11, 1-3 p.m. for adults in the Midtown Carnegie Branch upstairs meeting room. Sherri Hull, nutrition educator with the Greene County MU Extension Office, will discuss Fight BAC. Learn how to fight bacteria including washing our hands and the foods we eat, and learn about the importance of caring for plants and how to identify common weeds. Fresh produce samples at these programs provided by Springfield Community Gardens.
