MOBIUS Information

COMPUTERS, INTERNET AND WI-FI

Policies

All Library branches offer computers with access to the internet, electronic databases and the online catalog.


Patrons with a library card in good standing can log on for one-hour sessions, for an unlimited number of sessions per day.


Adult card holders with $10 or more in fines or fees, or those without a library card, can purchase a guest pass for $1. Patrons with payment plans in good standing may obtain a guest pass at no cost. Guest passes will be good for a one-hour session, or a session length as set by the branch. Patrons may obtain an unlimited number of guest passes per day. Patrons will be asked to verify their identity in order to obtain a guest pass.


Patrons age 17 and under may obtain unlimited guest passes at no charge. Patrons with a fine/fee payment plan in good standing may obtain unlimited guest passes at no cost. Active military, with ID, may obtain unlimited guest passes.


The Library will follow circulation procedures regarding the use of a library card number. If the person possesses the card, or knows the number, we will allow use until notified otherwise by card holder.


Length of sessions varies by library branch.


Wireless internet access is available free of charge at all locations. How to connect


All computers used in the Library are filtered for pornography and sex in accordance with state, city and federal laws. Read the full Internet Access & Saftey Policy.


Computer users are expected to behave in a responsible manner, respecting the rights of others and taking care with the use of the equipment.

Printers

All Library branches offer black and white and color printers.


Use the Library's Mobile Printing service to print from your own computer or mobile device.


Users are responsible for all printouts, including pages printed from the Library catalog.


Black and white printouts are 10¢ per page; color printouts are 50¢ per page.

 

USB Drives

Files may be saved to a USB drive.


Patrons may bring their own USB drive or purchase one at the Library for $5.
