26th Annual
Design-A-Bookmark Contest
Kids and teens are invited to create original book-related designs for the 2025 Design-A-Bookmark Contest. Designs should promote reading, libraries and/or books. The winning designs will be printed as colorful bookmarks that will be distributed this year at all Library branches and at community events. Winning entries and runners-up will be posted on the Library’s website for the world to admire.

Contest Rules
The design must be your own original creation related to books, libraries or reading. Copyrighted characters of art (such as Batman) will not be considered.
Any art medium may be used (paint, crayon, markers, colored pencil, computer, etc. Note: digital art should be 300 dpi).
Children and teens grades K-12 are eligible to enter.
Participants may submit as many entries as they like.
All entries must be submitted to any Springfield-Greene County Library or Mobile Library by closing on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Digital entries should be emailed to imagine@thelibrary.org.
Winners and runners-up will be personally notified and revealed in April at thelibrary.org/bookmarks.
One winner will be selected in each category: grades K-2; grades 3-4; grades 5-6; grades 7-8; grades 9-10; and grade 11-12.
Winners in each category will receive a gift certificate to Hobby Lobby and 50 copies of their printed bookmarks to share with family and friends.
Winning entries will be printed on full-color bookmarks to be distributed at the libraries and at community events throughout the year.
