Volume 1, Number 6 - Winter 1962
Leroy Smith of Forsyth passed away Thursday morning, December 13, 1962, at his home. He was 67 years of age. Mr. Smith was an employee of The Empire District Electric Company for almost 42 years, having been retired for two years.
Survivors include his wife Mabel of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Joann Armstrong, Memphis, Tennessee; a brother, Cecil Smith of Springfield; and four grand daughters.
Services were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 16, in the Forsyth Presbyterian Church, the Reverend Robert Thom officiating, assisted by the Reverend Robert Grady and Milton Hedgpeth. Burial was in the Ozark Memorial Cemetery at Branson, with Masonic graveside services.
