Col. Albert D. Cummings New President

Col. Albert D. Cummings, vice-president of the White River Valley Historical Society has taken over the duties of the President of the Society. Mrs. Keneth D. Ford, resigned effective March 1.

Col. Cummings, Assistant Professor of Speech at the College of the School of the Ozarks keeps the subscription list of the Quarterly and has been responsible for the mailing of the publication since after the first six issues.

Colonel Cummings is a graduate of the School of the Ozarks as is Mrs. Cummings, the former Dorothy Stacey. They are charter members of the Historical Society and have always given freely of their time to its services. Mrs. Cummings edited the Quarterly during a period of three years. Her resignation was accepted with much regret when she left to attend the University of Arkansas for a year and returned to a heavier teaching load at the College and plans for a summer of study in Europe.

Colonel Cummings soon will announce plans for future activities of the Society.
