Looking for any genealogical information the 1200 or so men who served in the 24th Missouri Volunteer Infantry of the Union Army in the Civil War. Most of the soldiers in this regiment were from southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. Jimmie Kay MAPLES, 2545 West Swallow, Springfield, MO 65810, is researching the TENNIS surname. Specifically the ancestors and descendants of Adison TENNIS and wife Lucinda DELANEY. Adison was born in 1804 in Ohio and died before 1860 in Missouri (possible Christian County). Lucinda was born in 1808 in either Pennsylvania or Ohio and died before 1870 in Missouri. Their children are Mary?, Elizabeth?, John, Samuel, James Adison, William, Alexander, Nancy Ann, Lucinda (MAPLES g - g - grandmother) - twin, Clarinda- twin, and E. (Emma?). All of the sons served on the Union side during the Civil War.

Illinois, in 1856. Later they were in Wapello County, Iowa. About 1857-59, the family found in DouglasCounty, Kansas. Ronald L. Barbara FARAJAT, 332 South Denver, Kansas City, MO 64124, would like any information on her "INGRAM family." Sylvonus INGRAM, married Nancy Angeline BOCOCK in Carter County, KY. He was born in Kentucky or Virginia about 1825. He moved to Taney County, MO, in the early 1850s.
