Volume 32, Number 3 - Spring 1993

Spring Meeting - June 13, 1993

The College of the Ozarks

Friendship House Banquet Room - 1:00 p.m.

"Mastodons, Mines, Mansions and Mills" by Robert Gilmore

Bob Gilmore will give our next free public program hosted by the Society and funded by the Missouri Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Gilmore will discuss Missouri’s cultural heritage shown in its historic sites and parks. He is professor of theater and director of the travel and tourism program at Southwest Missouri State University. The Missouri Humanities Council is the only statewide organization dedicated exclusively to promoting lifelong learning in history, literature and other branches of the humanities.

Society members and guests will arrive shortly after the noon hour to enjoy fellowship and lunch served by buffet or table service in the banquet room. College help is available to carry trays, so come join us for conversation prior to the meeting.
