Would like information on Isaac Newton WORKMAN, b. 1844 in Christian Co., fought in Civil War: Emanuel WORKMAN, b. 1855 in Christian Co.; or on a Workman that ran an early ferry on the White River. Judith Good, 2042 ‘M’ SW, Miami, OK 74854

Tracing the following family names: Sarah McDADE, who may have lived in Bradleyville in mid 1880s, previously married to a DAVIS. Children by McDADE husband (first name unknown) were William, Martha Ellen b. 1868, Neil, Della (possibly adopted). Jasper and Nancy E. SELVIDGE b. 1835, lived in Bradleyville mid 1880s to early 1900s.

SELVIDGE children were Thomas, John Fremont b. 1861, Martha. John Fremont SELVIDGE m. Martha Ellen McDADE probably between 1883-1888 in Bradleyville vicinity; William McDADE m. Martha SELVIDGE near same time (a brother and sister SELVIDGE married a brother and sister McDADE). John and Martha Selvidge’s children, probably born in Bradleyville: Etta (who married Benjamin James), Cora Elizabeth (who married Jacob Henderson PETTY), Mary (who married Early Cooper), Orpha, Emmett, and Calla.

Both families left Bradleyville area ca. 1906 for Olympia, Washington. Jacob Henderson PETTY, son of Frances ESTEP, whose family may have been in Taney County banking. Jacob’s father’s first name unknown, but d. Ca. 1893 when Jacob 8 years old. Jacob had brothers James Robert and John Rueben and one sister (name unknown). Mother later remarried a MOSLEY. Anyone searching for information on family of Daniel William SANFORD may find his obituary in the Dec. 16, 1946 issue of the Southeast Missourian newspaper published in Cape Girardeau. Sanford was b. Oct. 1, 1867 near Protem in Taney County.

Opal Parisotto, 1034 Laurel, Kiamath Falls, OR 97601 would like to correspond and exchange information with any descendants of Margaret HILL FELTON and Sarah A. HILL MCKINLEY. They were born in Missouri in the 1850s and were sisters of Opal’s grandfather, Wiley H. HILL.

Great, great grandfather Samuel STILL III, b. 1824 where James and White Rivers join, now Stone County, Mo. Parents were Samuel STILL II and Mary YOKUM BLACK STILL. Early 1820s area was Delaware Indian Reservation. Was Mary daughter of Solomon Yokum who was evicted from reservation because he sold brandy to Indians? Who was Solomon’s wife? Was she Indian?
