The Marion County Historical and Genealogical Society has undertaken the task of revising the books by Earl Berry and Lyle Wood, titled "History of Marion County, Arkansas" and "Pioneer Families of the Ozarks."

Our main objective is to take the Marion County families from each book, correct any mistakes or errors, and add other families who were in Marion County, Ark., prior to 1900.

This will be a major undertaking and we as a Society will need the help from as many family members as possible. If your readers have family histories or information which could benefit us in any way we would appreciate their help. This will not be a short term project but we need to get started right away.

If you have information you would like to see in print please write to: Vicki Roberts, HCR 66 Box 399, Yellville, AR 72687 or call (501) 449-6195. The Society does reserve the right to edit any and all material which is submitted due to space.
