Editor’s note: These small excerpts from the Adjutant General’s Collections at the Missouri State Archives represent two kinds of lists of men who served the Union during the Civil War in Missouri. The various company papers are immense in volume; there are over 500 reels of microfilm for this collection. In many cases, a researcher can reconstruct a company s movements during the war.
