Clete Ackerman of Forsyth, born in Billings, sent the cartoon and news items, found in a box of his mothers mementoes. No date for cartoon or publication. The news items from the Billings Times of July 1, 1885.
Kinlock and Grammer have for sale 20 lots adjoining Billings on the east side at $50.00 each on easy terms.
The committee on arrangements for the 4th of July celebration promises to have the grounds well cleared, plenty of water, good music, stands, a swing, sack and wheelbarrow races, speeches, fireworks at night, and in fact a general good time for everybody. Good order will be maintained.
Mr. Cooper is having a well dug.
M. E. Morris has had his house well fixed in fine shape by George Henson and F.J. Mobert.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Hurst on Tue. June 24 a girl. This is the 40th grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. White of Stone County, all living.

Killian and wife Mary Smith; John Combs and wife, Delilah Applegate. The latter came from Scott County, Indiana.
