Harriett B. Garrett, 1439 Crogdon Road, Troy, Ohio, 45373 is trying to establish the first names of Thomas Jefferson Stout’s parents. Thomas Jefferson Stout died August 5, 1883 near where Taneyville is now. She writes, "From family oral history Thomas Jefferson father, was drowned in the Ohio River when he was a young man. Also that his mother’s maiden name was Taylor.
Harlin D. Smith, 612 Linwood, Tumwater, Washington, 98502 writes, "We must keep the’ quarterly in print--I’m willing to pay double dues."
Linda Melson Mulkey, 17710 Third Place, W. Bothell, Washington, 98011 requests, "If you know of anyone buried in Owens Cemetery, Stone County, Missouri, please send me their names and any dates on them. Or anyone buried in people’s yards in Stone County. This is my grandmother’s family cemetery and most stones are gone.

Mrs. Noel Hall (Henrietta) has been elected by the Board to serve as Christian County Director. Mrs. John Vineyard resigned due to ill health, and we wish her a speedy recovery.
Our sympathy is extended to Betty Brown and family in the recent loss of husband and father, Thomas Lee Brown. Both Betty and Lee have been active in the WRVHS since its organization and he will be missed.
McCreary-McCrary: Frances M. Blair, PO. Box 68, Reeds Spring, Mo. 65737 would like to hear from any descendant of Grank McCreary-McCrary who lived in Benton Harbor, Michigan in 1909. He had a brother, Edwin A. McCreary, b. 5 April 1840 somewhere in Pennsylvania and was living at Marmaros, Stone County, Mo. in 1909. They had a brother James or Jim possibly living in Owatta, Illinois. Who were their parents, other brothers and sisters? In what town and county in Pennsylvania were they born?
Patchen-Chapel-Millison: Mrs. Frances M. Blair, P.O. Box 68, Reeds Spring, Mo. 65737 would like to hear from descendants of Ellen Patchen Chapel born around 1845 in or near Erie, Pennsylvania. She had children named Frank, Birten, Sadie and Carrie. She had a sister Lydia Ann or Annie L. Patchen, b.13 July 1850 who first married a Millison and they had a daughter Susie or Susan b. October 1875. Lydia Ann or Annie L. Patchen Millison married Winchester Latimore Snyder sometime after 1877. They had a daughter Julia Ann b. 5 August 1885 before moving to Bradfield, Stone County, Missouri sometime about 1887. Who were Patchen parents, brothers and other sisters? One brother might have been Washington, another one something starting with K. Dan and Ann might have been brother and wife or sister and husband or they may have been uncle and aunt have a family picture, including parents, three couples, each have small child, and two young men, I believe to be Patchen family, made by F. L.Yagear, Columbus, Pennsylvania. Other pictures made in Erie and nearby towns.
At the time this issue goes to press, Marvin Tong, publicity chairman, is very seriously ill with a severe heart condition. Let us undergird his family with our prayers.
