Cafeteria opens at 11:30 A.M.

Come early, visit with members and guests, or attend worship services at 11 A.M. at campus church. Then enjoy good fellowship while eating good food. Business meeting at 1:15 P.M.

Remember When We Believed That

to burn combings of hair was thought to make the hair on one’s head brittle?

mad dogs didn’t bother a person who carried a small piece of dogwood in his pocket?

girls in love had an appetite for cucumber pickles?

to carry a stray cat in the house was thought to bring bad luck?

it was a bad sign if the sun didn’t shine, at least for a minute or two, on Wednesday?

lightning in the south was a dry weather sign?

handling toads caused warts on the hands?

when we stumbled accidentally we kissed our thumb to avoid bad luck?

it was considered bad luck to close a gate if one found it open?
