DESCRIPTION

These sections are, generally speaking, nearly all forked leaf White and Red Oak, tall, straight, growing and healthy timber, runs from 12 to 30 inches in diameter, and from 15 to 40 foot body - a fair average would be 18 inches in diameter, and 20 foot body, this has been estimated to cut at least calculation 70 railroad ties to the acre, have sold at Reed Springs 62 cents each. There is other scattering timber native to South Missouri, various Black Oaks, Hickory, Walnut, Sycamore, etc., etc.; estimate in lumber would be 5000 feet per acre.

SECTION II. - This section is bare of timber, having been swept by a cyclone some fifteen years ago; however this section is well grassed and well watered. It is worth and will bring more than the price asked, for stock purposes. The grass has set in and it is well covered with Blue Grass, and Blue Stemmed Grass and is well watered by numerous springs and spring branches, half mile from railroad track, three miles from station, and five miles from county seat.

SECTION 29. - Have milled off most of the White Oak on this section. We cut it first because it was fartherest from the railroad. Have sold over $8000.00 from this section alone, and have not touched the Red Oak. More than half the standing timber remains on this section. Red Oak is worth $12 to $18 per M. f. o. b. Reed Springs in car lots. Section 17 is near James river and would make a fine summer resort. All our cutting has been confined to sections 29 and 35.

GENERAL

This is a new undeveloped country, believed to be rich in minerals. Only 26 miles from Aurora, where some of the most valuable mines in the state are located. Corn and oats do well, and clover, blue grass and timothy are natural products. This is a fine fruit country--being in the Ozarks is a guarantee of fine fruit, and healthy climate, an abundance of crystal spring water.

Our lands lie adjacent to Reeds Springs on Mo. Pacific R.R., some of it one mile from the county seat of Galena -- both are railroad towns. We have the only standing timber of any considerable value remaining near the railroad. I do not believe you can get as good timber, as near the railroad as ours, elsewhere, for the price we are asking. Would make some reduction if allowed to retain the lead and zinc rights to this land.

Price $15.00 Per Acre
