Betty C. Gill, 2321 Felicia Ave., Rowland Heights, CA 91748 is researching the REAMES/REAMS and WOODS lines. My grandmother was Millie Jane Reams. The only information we have is that a Henry REAMES/REAMS married Amanda Elizabeth WOODS 3 June 1858, Stone County, MO. Henry was born about 1840 and Amanda about 1844, both in TN. Who were their parents? Henry and Amanda had 7 children, all born in Cass Township, Stone Co., MO: George W. born 1859; William W. born 1864; Cordelia born 1866 (married James E. ARNOLD), died 23 Aug. 1934, CA; Parthena born 1868; Milvina born 1872; Millie Jane (grandmother) born 31 Mar. 1874 (married James Monroe WILLIAMS 30 Mar. 1892) died 11 July 1950, CA; Markham born 1879 and died 23 Mar. 1932. Henry was declared of unsound mind in 1888 and placed under guardianship of a JF.M. COX, later committed at Robertson’s Mill in 1892. He died 18 Sept. 1899. He served in Civil War and received a pension according to probate records. What happened to JAmanda and the children? Did they move to Arkansas? That is where my grandmother married in Garland County and later lived in Fayetteville where I was born. Would like to hear from anyone with any connection to any of the above. Probate records list Henry as Nathaniel Henry.
A.E. Schroeder, 1000 Lakeshore Drive, Columbia, MO 65203 is project coordinator to prepare an 18 panel traveling exhibit on "The German Heritage in Missouri". They need black and white pictures, historical and contemporary which might be appropriate for the exhibit, including pictures of towns, farms, schools, churches, individuals, family groups, and organizations -- anything that represents German cultural life in Missouri. Photographs of documents, early maps, or school books in German which were used in Missouri could also be helpful. Knowledge of German churches and schools is needed. Upon completion (Fall 1985) of this exhibit it will be available for loan to schools, cultural and historical groups, etc.

Mrs. Cleda WILLIAMS, 610 N. Shady Lane, Southlake, TX 76092 needs information on Louisa Cathryn HOLLERS, daughter of Hiram and Elizabeth (Lane) HOLLERS, or her descendants. Louisa, born May 1870, Taney Co., MO married No. 1? OWEN/S - one daughter, Lonie/Lona born about 1887 in MO. Married No. 2, Jeff Davis ODELL, 29 April 1981 in Pickens Co., Chickaway, Indian Territory. Two children born to this marriage: Leora 5 Jan. 1892, Indian Territory; and, Arnettie 23 Feb. 1894, Cook Co., TX. Louisa and Lonie disappeared 1896. Where?
Also, where in Missouri was Martha Manerva CASEY, daughter of H.A. and M. Elizabeth (HARVAL) CASEY born on 12 Feb. 1854? Married No. 1 ? WELLS, sheriff of a county in Arkansas. After WELLS was shot and killed she married No. 2 William D. WILLIAMS, born 13 June 1951, AR. Were in Texas by 1879.
Norvil L. BROWN, 42733 Keystone, Canton, MI 48187 is seeking communication with any descendants of John B. N. (or T? REDMAN, a resident of Taney Co. from 1840 to 1860’s. John was born about 1815 in KY and probably died at Alton, IL as a confederate POW. His family may have moved to the Bolivar area, and some of his children were in Kansas City by 1870. Daughter Louisa married John DYE before 1860 in Taney County. All letters answered.
Editor’s Note: Name was spelled REDMON in 1840 Taney Co. census Swan Township, and listed 4 children under 10 years of age. Not in 1860 Swan Twp. of Taney Co.
Mr. Brown, whose story appeared in previous issue, requests clarification be made that material used was based on letters and discussions with his father, Henry Lawrence BROWN and his aunt, Elfie Violet BROWN.
Correspondents must enclose return postage (22 cents) if they want a reply. Last issue of the quarterly cost $1.89 each plus 6 cents bulk mailing. That leaves 20 cents of your $8.00 dues to pay mandatory expenses and underwrite projects.

William LOWRY, 4619 Fairmount, Kansas City, MO 64112 would like to hear from anyone related to Cyrus H. and Rachel LOWRY. He was born in 1833 in Rockbridge County, VA and lived a while in Ohio before going to KS. He fought for the Union as a volunteer and married Rachel WILLIAMS in 1867. They lived in Harris, KS and raised several children. He died in 1903 and Rachel died in 1907. Would like to hear from anyone related to the WILLIAMS or the LOWRYS of Anderson County, KS.
Willa M. Schuster, 11703 Locust Dale Ct., Mitchellville, MD 20716 would like to correspond with anyone with information on Elizabeth Catherine (EVANS) FRIEND born about 1811 in Illinois and/or Thomas Jefferson BOYD born 1953 at Carroilton, AR--place of death and burial is needed.
Elizabeth and Andrew FRIEND are my great grandparents. Andrew was born in Scott County, MO territory in 1807, died March 1870 at Dugginsville. MO and is buried in the Hart’s Cemetery there.
My grandmother was Martha Ann (FRIEND) (HART - 1st marriage) BOYD born Oct. 27, 1855 at Falling Springs, MO. She died Feb. 7, 1944 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Pryor, OK.
Thomas Jefferson Boyd was my grandfather and the last known of him is on the 1910 census living at Bear Creek Spring, AR.

Columbia, Pomona, CA 91767 would like to hear from anyone researching James BLEVINS, any USREY, DEWEESE in Carroll County, AR; any CLEVENGER, LARKINS, DANIELS and Charity WOODS in Christian County, MO. Minerva Lou JONES, daughter of Wayman JONES, married Edward PORTER. (Editor: wrote for dates: birth, marriage, death, etc. but received no answer.)
Thurman L. BASKIN, 201A Misty Isle, Las Vegas, NV 89107 is seeking information on the sons of Samuel and Mary (PEDGETT) GIMLIN who moved westward to Oklahoma: J. Lee and Ada (LIVELY) GIMLIN went to Tulsa about 1914 and raised a family of about 5 children; Robert and Laura (THOMPSON) GIMLIN moved to Rocky about 1923 - large family of about 10 children; Joseph and Mary (FROST) Gimlin to Tulsa about 1905 - 5 children; Milton and Beulah (BENN) GIMLIN to someplace in OK about 1915 - had a small family. Any help on these families, their children and their grandchildren is needed.

Evelyn Sheets, 511 E. 9th Street, Trenton, MO 64683 is asking for help in compiling a list of BANDSTANDS in the state of Missouri. Many have disappeared and the committee is endeavoring to find pictures of the bandstand before it was torn down. Pictures of town bands are also wanted. This project is the work of the Missouri Folklore Class of Trenton Junior College with Ms. Sheets, instructor. Another project is the collecting of information regarding the children who came to Missouri in "orphan trains". About 6,000 children were involved. Anyone with knowledge of any of these children, please help.
