METEOR STEEL RANGE
$44.00 For Coal or Wood
1913 vs. 1963 Prices
Many workers of 1913 received $1 to $2 a day, which made the $44 kitchen range cost them 22 to 44 days' labor. A 1963 range priced at $150 would cost a worker making $75 a week, 12 days' labor. In these terms, the $44 range cost almost twice to four times as much as the $150 range.
