White River Valley Historical Society Meeting
Mrs. Ruby Robins, president of the White River Valley Historical Society, set the date, March 25, 1973, for the Spring Meeting. She announces that Mrs. Vance Randolph will come from Fayetteville, Arkansas, to address the meeting.
Those who wish may gather at Friendship House of the School of the Ozarks, at twelve o'clock on that day, Sunday, March 25, to enjoy a dinner hour of visiting. Cost, $2.50, including drink and desert. A smorgasbord with loaded table sufficient to satisfy the hungry.
The business meeting and program will start, same place, at one o'clock. Friendship House sits at the entrance to the college campus, so easily found. Mrs. Robins urges, "Come for dinner and program, or come for the program, but do come to meet and hear Mrs. Randolph."
Mrs. Randolph, member of the English faculty of the University of Arkansas for twenty years, taught and encouraged the study of Ozark Folk Lore and History. She brings to her audience a wealth of research material, recordings, and film.
