Barry County, Missouri Marriages

Barry County, Missouri was organized in 1835. The earliest book of recorded marriages is known as the ABC book. I have not learned where the marriages of 1835-1836 are, if in existance. The first marriage recorded in the ABC book is of James Smoot and Nancy Arnold; dated Feb. 19, 1837. Marriages from 1837 up to April 1854 were included in the publication by Goodspeed, 1888, in the section devoted to Barry County history. I have extracted marriages from the ABC book from April 1854 up through the mid 1860’s, with page no., grooms, brides, and names of those who preformed the ceremony. (The following from 1854-1858)
