On this her Hundredth Year Birthday month -- Mary Elizabeth Mahnkey called attention to the little things which God gave one which made the greatness of the people of the area.
We give to you her poems, long out of print and not available today. May you enjoy them and know like Mrs. Mahnkey that the little things of the area may and can bring repose, beauty, and the good life to you.
The Quarterly, Vol. 4, No. 2, Winter 1970-71 carries an article "The Mahnkey and Prather Families" written by Douglas Mahnkey, son of Charles Preston Mahnkey and Mary Elizabeth Prather Mahnkey.
