PLAY

Word Walk

While you are walking out and about, take time to read all the signs you see. Stop signs, restaurant signs and store signs are all familiar to children and help them recognize that they are symbols. It won't be long before your child is 'reading' the signs back to you!

SING

The Wheels on the Bus

(Roll hands as pretend "wheels" and act out the rest of the song)

The wheels on the bus go round and round,
Round and round, round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
All through the town.

The people on the bus go up and down,
Up and down, up and down.
The people on the bus go up and down,
All through the town.

Additional verses:
The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish...
The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep...
The lights on the bus go on and off...
The doors on the bus go open and shut...

Feel free to add any other verses you can think of!
