The Library's Early Literacy Program

The Library's Early Literacy Program

For Preschoolers

A Tell Stories Activity for Preschoolers

Firsts

Tell Stories Create stories, play make-believe and let your child be a storyteller.

PLAY

Firsts

Life is full of firsts for young children: the first step, first word, first time they tie their shoes and many more. These are important parts of our lives so we need to tell stories about them! Tell your child about all of her firsts and encourage her to tell others the stories too.

SING

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Row, row, row your boat,

Gently down the stream.

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,

Life is but a dream!
