Celebrate National Poetry Month!

April is National Poetry Month! The African American Read-In is excited to welcome renowned author and poet Kwame Alexander to Springfield this month. He'll be speaking at the Springfield Art Museum on Thursday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m. - mark your calendars!

Help your kids celebrate by listening to poetry and creating your own. The Academy of American Poets has lots of great resources on its website to help you. These books from the Library might be inspiring too!
