Coming Soon: Reading Widely Challenge for Kids & Teens!

Kids stuck in a reading rut? Time to try some new genres! The Reading Widely Challenge is from October 1st to December 31st and challenges kids and teens in grades K-12 to read books in different genres. Readers can use their Beanstack account or register for one at thelibrary.org/readingchallenge or pick up a paper form that will be available at all branches and the Mobile Library starting October 1st. When they log their first book, they can pick up a reading-themed vinyl sticker at any branch and each genre they log earns them an entry into drawings for reading prize baskets, up to 10 entries. And who knows? Maybe your child will find they adore poetry or that mysteries are the coolest things ever! Challenge your kids to read beyond what they can imagine!
