Take a StoryWalk®!

Where can you read a book, exercise and enjoy our community's beautiful outdoor spaces? At one of the Library's StoryWalks®! StoryWalks® are books displayed page by page along a trail or path and are a fun way for families to enjoy the outdoors and read at the same time. Here are the next chances to catch a StoryWalk® this fall:

 

  • September 3-17 at the Fairbanks, 1126 N. Broadway Ave. in Springfield: "A Frog in the Bog" by Karma Wilson.
  • September 7-21 at the J.R. Martin Park, 300 E. Hines in Republic: "Big Dance" by Aoife Greenham.
  • September 17-October 1 at the Fairbanks, 1126 N. Broadway Ave. in Springfield: "Leaves" by David Ezra Stein.
  • September 27-October 11 at Rountree Elementary School, 1333 Grand St. in Springfield: "The Little Red Fort" by Brenda Maier.
  • October 5-26 at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic Ave. in Springfield: "Squirrels Leap, Squirrels Sleep" by April Pulley Sayre.
  • November 9-23: Agua, Agüita: Water, Little Water" by Jorge Tetle Argueta.

Head outside and enjoy a story, some exercise and some lovely trails!
