Take a Springtime StoryWalk®!

Enjoy the soft, spring weather after the long winter by walking and reading a book along the way. StoryWalks® are books displayed page by page along a trail or path and are a fun way for families to enjoy the outdoors and read at the same time. Here are the dates and locations you can catch one:

March 8-28 at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic Ave. in Springfield: "Cat's Colors" by Airlie Anderson.

April 12-May 2 at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park, 3825 W. Farm Rd. 146 in Springfield: "A Frog in the Bog" by Karma Wilson.

April 19-May 2 at Howard Smith Community Park, 408 E. Bumgarner Blvd. in Strafford: "Stomp" by Uncle Ian Aurora.

May 10-23 at Pittman Elementary School, 2934 E. Bennett St. in Springfield: "It's a Tiger!" by David LaRochelle.

StoryWalks® are available during park hours. The Pittman Elementary StoryWalk® is available to the public after school hours. For details, contact the host site.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellog-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
