Enjoy the soft, spring weather after the long winter by walking and reading a book along the way. StoryWalks® are books displayed page by page along a trail or path and are a fun way for families to enjoy the outdoors and read at the same time. Here are the dates and locations you can catch one:
March 8-28 at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic Ave. in Springfield: "Cat's Colors" by Airlie Anderson.
April 12-May 2 at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park, 3825 W. Farm Rd. 146 in Springfield: "A Frog in the Bog" by Karma Wilson.
April 19-May 2 at Howard Smith Community Park, 408 E. Bumgarner Blvd. in Strafford: "Stomp" by Uncle Ian Aurora.
May 10-23 at Pittman Elementary School, 2934 E. Bennett St. in Springfield: "It's a Tiger!" by David LaRochelle.
StoryWalks® are available during park hours. The Pittman Elementary StoryWalk® is available to the public after school hours. For details, contact the host site.
