Children, teens and adults can dive into a summer of fitness, health and exploration as they attend special programs and read to earn great prizes.
The Springfield-Greene County Library District’s Summer Reading Programs run May 21-Aug. 6. We’ll kick off the summer reading fun with games, crafts and other activities at these events on May 21:
- Summer Reading Kickoff with Bluegrass in the Park from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for preschool-grade 6 at the Fair Grove Branch Library. An all ages concert by Red Bridge Bluegrass starts at 1 p.m.
- Library Olympics from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. for infants-age 6 at the Strafford Branch Library
- Midtown Neighborhood Block Party and Summer Reading Kickoff from 1-4 p.m. for all ages at the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library
- Summer Reading Kickoff Party from 2-4 p.m. for all ages at the Republic Branch Library
Kids can pick up Summer Reading Program game board at any branch or the Mobile Library starting May 21.
