Free Wi-Fi

Wireless internet access is available free of charge at all Library branches.

If you have a Wi-Fi enabled device, bring it to the Library for use anywhere in our comfortable, quiet surroundings and enjoy the convenience of having our expert staff and other research materials a step away. There's no port to connect to, no fee and no wait for a Library computer station to come available.

To connect to the Library's wireless network:

  1. The computer must have a wireless card that is 802.11b compatible with the appropriate software installed.
  2. Set your SSID (sometimes called ESSID) to LIBRARY.
Refer to your WI-FI card instructions for details.
  3. Make sure WEP encryption is Disabled.
  4. Connection should be set for INFRASTRUCTURE mode.

Wireless Standards 802.11B and 802.11g are supported at each facility.
