Get Your Geek On at LibraryCon Aug. 27
Celebrate your fandoms and geekiness with panels, games, geeky storytime, special guests and more during our second annual LibraryCon. It all happens from 11 a.m. -5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, for all ages at the Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave. Wear your favorite comic, sci-fi or fantasy hero costume if you like.
Event & panel lineup in the auditorium:
• 11 a.m., Fandom Starts Early Storytime;
• Noon, What Geeks Should Read Next (Geeky Reads): What's New in Fantasy, Science Fiction and Comics;
• 1 p.m. Illustrator Panel;
• 2 p.m. Author Panel;
• 3 p.m. Graphic Novels & Comics Panel;
• 4 p.m. Cosplay Panel, followed by the Teen Cosplay Fashion Show
Hang out between panels for TrekTalks as Trekies talk about why "Star Trek" is important to them in honor of the show's 50th anniversary. And visit vendors in the concourse all day!
In the Story Hour Room, we'll have table top gaming from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and a draw-along for kids with an illustrator at 2:30 p.m. Call 882- 0714 for details.
