All ages are invited to geek out with fellow fans and cosplayers when LibraryCon returns to the Library Center on Saturday, Aug. 19. Events will run from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the library, 4653 S. Campbell Ave. Exhibitors are encouraged to apply early.
This is the third year of LibraryCon, featuring comic books, people dressed up as their favorite comic book character or superhero, comic book illustrators and cosplay -- “costume play” – by people dressed up as their favorite comic book, sci-fi, fantasy or anime character.
The day will include a Geeky Storytime, Draw-alongs with Illustrators, fandom meet-ups, a Comic Illustrators and Authors Panel, Self-publishing Panel, Tabletop Gaming Demo room, Getting Started in Cosplay and more. Family-friendly cosplay is welcome.
Watch for upcoming announcements from the library for a complete schedule of events and special guests that you won't want to miss!
